Senior Development Writer – White Plains

The Senior Development Writer will be responsible for writing and editing all grant proposals and all fundraising materials/communications including letter of inquiry and acknowledgment, donor briefing and progress reports. S/he will perform prospect research to identify corporate and foundation supporters and be expected to maintain regular communication with these contacts. S/he will develop the organizations newsletter and other donor communication, and oversee the dissemination of these materials. Requirements:This position requires a Bachelors degree and 2+ years of development experience and/or training. The ideal candidate will posses excellent written communications skills, including demonstrated proficiency as a writer with experience in preparing prospect briefings and fundraising proposals. S/he will be an effective speaker who can converse effortlessly with donors, board members and staff. Familiarity with prospect research resources is a plus.
